Streaming involves downloading and using content at a user's request, or "on-demand", rather than allowing a user to store it permanently. - I prefer definition from Wikidata for download: "to receive data to a local system from a remote system" - this is what used more often, without complexity of partial or complete files.
- With Wikidata definition steaming is a subclass or equivalent of downdload.
