Motivation[edit]
The FL number is an ID of the European Union used for food flavourings and is similar to the EC number which is used for the same purposes for different chemicals. The numbers can be found at the database of the European Food Safety Authority and are listed in the EU Regulation 1334/2008 that is available here. Ameisenigel (talk) 16:04, 9 January 2021 (UTC)

Discussion[edit]
- Support I see no objections to the new property for FLAVIS numbers, although the use of these numbers seems to be very limited. Wostr (talk) 17:44, 9 January 2021 (UTC)
- Support use is limited, but FL numbers are unique and used for food flavourings in the EU since 2002, also in current active REGULATION (EC) No 1334/2008. There are more than 2000 Wikidata objects where this property can be added. Regards --Bert (talk) 13:55, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
- Comment if it's a unique identifier, it should have "external-id" datatype. --- Jura 12:32, 12 January 2021 (UTC)
- OK, but it is not possible to link to the entry since the URL uses an internal ID, not the FL number. --Ameisenigel (talk) 07:43, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
- That's not a problem. I updated it above. Some of the more important identifiers don't have a formatter url. --- Jura 13:39, 14 January 2021 (UTC)
