Wikidata does not appear to have a simple manner in which to indicate a value is unknown/unknowable. Ideally the entity

wdt:Q24238356 Unknown Value

should be easily accessible (without knowing its id) from the "add value" interface of the web based property editor.

Distinguish this from a NULL value as:

  • NULL: This field has not been filled or is not present
  • UNKNOWN: This field is intentionally blank, because there is no reliable data on the matter.
